Come for the fun, stay for the SPACE!

Your child does NOT need to be a 4-H member to participate in this program, but does need to be a 3rd - 6th grader! The cost of this program is $20 per child, and we ask that each child bring their own lunch. Please register by Wednesday, March 13. If you have questions please email Ryan Swadley at Swadley_RD@co.brown.wi.us.

There will be a minimum of 10 participants and a maximum of 30. Registration fees are non-refundable unless the program is cancelled due to low registration.

1/30/2019 - Weather Emergency Declared for Thursday, January 31, 2019 - Dear Brown County Employees:

Due to the dangerous wind-chill levels, Brown County has declared a weather emergency for Thursday, 01-31-2019.

Brown County Offices will be open on Thursday. However, non-essential employees may choose not to report to work due to weather conditions and use unpaid leave or accrued (paid) leave to cover their absence on Thursday.

Department heads are required to report to work for supervision purposes. Constitutional Officers who shut down their office due to lack of supervisors should notify the press and staff of their office closing.

Regarding the weather emergency that was declared on Wednesday, 01-30-2019 (in which non-essential employees were not allowed to report to work for safety reasons), if deemed appropriate by department heads, then supervisors should work with their employees to allow for ‘flexing hours’ in order to make up for hours lost on 01-30-2019.

We urge all employees to take extreme caution and exercise safety while commuting.

Thank you,

Jeff Flynt
Brown County Deputy Executive - More
